How do I test my mouse scroll wheel for reverse scrolling faults?
Scroll your mouse wheel continuously in one direction (e.g. downward) over the test target box above. If the indicator briefly flickers "SCROLLING UP", your scroll encoder has a reverse scroll fault.
What causes mouse scroll wheel reverse jumping?
Scroll wheel jumping occurs when dust, hair, or grease accumulates inside the mechanical rotary encoder wheel. Cleaning the encoder with 99% isopropyl alcohol or compressed air usually fixes it.
