Grade A · 0.0% – 2.0%

Healthy Centering & Precision

Normal factory variance. Controller stick operates with precision zero-point accuracy and zero resting drift offset. Hardware is in perfect condition.

Optimize Deadzones

Buttons & Vibration

Test all button responses and verify ABXY layout mapping. Dual motor vibration testing with independent left/right motor control. Check your force feedback system health and detect sticky triggers or failing microswitches.

How to Get Started

Just three steps to run a complete controller test and understand your controller's health status.

01

Connect Controller

Connect your controller to your computer via USB cable or Bluetooth. If the browser doesn't respond, press any button on the controller to activate the connection.

02

Button Detection

Press each button in the visual interface and confirm the corresponding area lights up on screen. This helps troubleshoot unresponsive or double-clicking buttons.

03

Sticks & Vibration

Rotate the sticks to check linearity and drift issues; click the vibration test button to feel if the left and right motor feedback is working properly.

What would you like to do next?

Select a diagnostic calibration suite, deadzone analyzer, or high-frequency overclock tool.

Fix

Repair & Calibration

Calibrate zero-point offsets or follow step-by-step repair guides.

Optimize

Game Deadzones

Calculate exact radial vs axial deadzone overlays for Fortnite, Apex, & COD.

Telemetry

Overclock & Circularity

Verify true hardware polling Hz stability and statistical circularity grades.

How to calibrate a Switch Pro Controller on PC?

To calibrate a Switch Pro Controller on a PC, connect it via USB or Bluetooth. Open the Windows joy.cpl settings or Steam's controller configuration to adjust deadzones. For precise hardware-level testing, use a web-based tester to verify analog stick circularity and center offsets.

Recommended Actions

Start with the Stick Drift Test. Sticks resting in the 2–10% band usually respond to contact cleaner and a deadzone bump; above 10%, plan a module swap rather than repeated cleaning.

Switch Pro Controller Technical Diagnostics

The Pro Controller is comfortable and long-lived — except for its sticks. The joystick modules use carbon-film potentiometers, and friction wears those tracks into stick drift over time. Connect the pad over Bluetooth or USB, and this tool shows the resting offset of each stick the moment it connects. No dedicated app required.

Digital Triggers and Face Buttons

Unlike PS5 or Xbox pads, the Pro Controller uses digital ZL/ZR triggers, not analog sliders — each reads 1.0 fully pressed or 0.0 released. Use the button matrix to check those, the ABXY face buttons, and the D-pad (whose diagonals are a known weak point) for bounce-free registration.

HD Rumble and Gyroscope Sensors

The Pro Controller also packs linear resonant actuators (LRA) for Nintendo's "HD Rumble" and a 6-axis IMU for motion aiming in Splatoon and Zelda. The haptic and gyro tools stream those sensors so you can confirm they survived drops and firmware updates intact.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about testing your controller.

Is the Switch Pro Controller prone to drift?

While generally more durable than Joy-Cons, the Switch Pro Controller still uses standard potentiometers and can develop drift over years of heavy use.

How this test works & its limits
  • This test reads your controller through the browser's standard Gamepad API — no drivers, no installs, nothing leaves your device.
  • Readings depend on connection mode: Bluetooth reports at lower rates than USB. Compare like-for-like (wired vs wired).
  • We measure the input reaching the browser — display lag and game-engine queues are outside this test's view.
  • A clean reading now does not guarantee no drift in-game: deadzones differ per game, and wear develops over time. Use the Drift Timeline to track yours.
  • This is a diagnostic, not a hardware-lab certification. For repair or RMA decisions, confirm with a second run or second tool.
