Calibration

PS5 DualSense Zero-Point Calibrator

Directly communicate with your PS5 DualSense's firmware via WebHID to reset Hall Effect drift offsets.

Hardware Level Calibration

Directly communicate with your controller's firmware to write new zero-point offsets.

How to Get Started

Just three steps to run a complete controller test and understand your controller's health status.

01

Connect Controller

Connect your controller to your computer via USB cable or Bluetooth. If the browser doesn't respond, press any button on the controller to activate the connection.

02

Button Detection

Press each button in the visual interface and confirm the corresponding area lights up on screen. This helps troubleshoot unresponsive or double-clicking buttons.

03

Sticks & Vibration

Rotate the sticks to check linearity and drift issues; click the vibration test button to feel if the left and right motor feedback is working properly.

Why Calibrate Your PS5 DualSense?

Over time, both Hall Effect sensors can shift off their factory center. Software deadzones only mask this issue, leading to sluggish response. A true firmware-level zero-point calibration recalculates the physical neutral position and saves it to the controller's onboard memory.

Prerequisites

  • Use a Chromium-based browser (Chrome, Edge, Opera) for WebHID support.
  • Connect your PS5 DualSense directly via USB cable (Bluetooth calibration is not recommended).
  • Do not touch the analog sticks during the flashing process.

How the Process Works

This tool uses the native browser WebHID API to send low-level instructions to your PS5 DualSense. We first read the raw offsets directly from the Hall Effect sensors, calculate the delta to true zero, and construct a binary payload that flashes the updated calibration matrix back to the controller.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about testing your controller.

What does zero-point calibration do?

It writes a new permanent hardware center point directly to the controller's firmware, fixing baseline drift caused by sensor wear.

Is it safe to flash my firmware through the browser?

Yes. WebHID communicates securely and only writes to the specific calibration registers, without altering the core firmware code.

Will this fix stick drift permanently?

If your drift is caused by offset degradation, this recalibrates the center. However, physical wear on potentiometers may eventually require a hardware replacement.

How this test works & its limits
  • This test reads your controller through the browser's standard Gamepad API — no drivers, no installs, nothing leaves your device.
  • Readings depend on connection mode: Bluetooth reports at lower rates than USB. Compare like-for-like (wired vs wired).
  • We measure the input reaching the browser — display lag and game-engine queues are outside this test's view.
  • A clean reading now does not guarantee no drift in-game: deadzones differ per game, and wear develops over time. Use the Drift Timeline to track yours.
  • This is a diagnostic, not a hardware-lab certification. For repair or RMA decisions, confirm with a second run or second tool.
