Controller Reliability Dashboard

142,850 documented test results across 5 tracked controller models (snapshot 2026-08-02). Every bar on this page is rendered directly from the baseline dataset — no derived figures.

Documented results 142,850 aggregated, snapshot 2026-08-02
Tracked models 5 potentiometer + hall-effect sensors
Avg 12-mo drift (all models) 3.5% unweighted mean of model baselines
Hall vs potentiometer gap 4.3% lower 12-mo drift vs pot-only models

Avg 12-Month Stick Drift

Static offset at rest after 12 months, by model baseline. Lower is better.

Measure your own →

Avg Circularity Error

Deviation from a perfect outer circle at full deflection. Lower is better.

Measure your own →

Avg Drift-Free Lifespan

Months before drift crosses the >2.5% deadzone-tuning threshold. Higher is better.

Dataset Composition

Share of documented results per model. More samples = sharper baseline.

Drift Magnitude Percentile Thresholds by Model

The tier cutoffs used by the Health Score and drift percentile math. Thresholds are drift % at rest.

PlayStation 5 DualSense 1.5% 3.2% 5.8% > 5.8%
Xbox Wireless Controller (Series X/S) 1.8% 3.5% 6.2% > 6.2%

Where this data comes from — and its limits

This is a static baseline snapshot, not live telemetry. The dataset is aggregated from 142,850 documented test results (snapshot 2026-08-02).

Your own telemetry stays in your browser: when you opt in to the consent prompt on a diagnostic tool, your measurements are logged locally (ct_telemetry_log) so you can track your own controller over time — nothing is uploaded. The live, first-party dataset grows as we are able to publish new snapshots, and every snapshot is dated so the numbers can be checked.
